How to get the file name from the file path using AA360
While working with file automation in any RPA tool, sometimes we need to get the file name from the file path.
Getting the file name helps the bot to make decisions based on the file name to proceed further or to stop the process automation.
In this article, we will see how to achieve this task using Automation Anywhere(Automation 360).
Step1: Drag and drop the Get name from the file actions to the designer panel as shown below:
Let’s look at the properties of this action:
Here:
Control Room file –
We can provide the file path from the control room.
Desktop file –
We can provide the file path from the local machine or pc.
Variable –
We can provide the file path in the form of a variable( variable must be file type variable)
Output –
We can save the file name to the output variable as shown above.
